The Smile Man

As the name suggests, the serial killer, after killing the victims, used a knife to slit their mouths to make them look like smiling faces.

The police officers who solved the case were Chidambaram and Vankartesh. Vankartesh shot and killed the accused and managed to capture him, but he disappeared after being captured. No one knew what happened to Vankartesh or where he went.

Five years later, Chidambaram was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease after an accident. The doctor told him that his memory would last for a year at most, and that if he did not rest properly, he would lose all memory within a few months.

Chidambaram lived as his doctor had advised. He also published a book about the killers he encountered during his service. In this book, the last chapter of the strange Smile Man murder is left unfinished. A week after Chidambaram’s book was published, a murder similar to the Smile Man murder occurs.

When Venkatesh’s son Arvin, who is handling the case, brings Chidambaram back into the case to get references…
